Eleanor Anne Sweet, Speaker, Trainer, Author - Bio (288 words) Shaw Media Eleanor Anne Sweet Corporate Success Partners, Division of Remington Group, LLC North Barrington Resident Known fondly as the “Mistress of WOW,” Eleanor Sweet’s commitment level to business and corporate donations in honor of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life campaign, is unmatched. In 2012, she, together with Diane Ahrens from Piece of Cake Bakery, created the 2012 Relay for Life Barrington Cake Decorating Contest, raising a total of $370,000 in donations, matching the total in donations set from that record breaking number of cupcakes in one area event she planned the year before. Because of her explosive fundraising skills, she was charged with sustaining and further growing the community support in what she termed were “pocket areas”, demographics that had gone untapped. This goal resulted in the successful implementation of Relay for Life support in various schools, and minority groups that had never before shown supportive interest. Since 2011 she has been involved in her community helping raise $1.5 million for American Cancer Society. Now, as she steps down from her position as Event Chair for Barrington’s Relay for Life and looks to expanding her business, she leaves behind a legacy to friends and volunteers. According to her nominator, “She is such an inspiration for all those that come in contact with her. With her passion for life, her desire to help those that are in need and her will to make things better for generations to come. Eleanor Anne Sweet is an 18 year expert of organizational management improvement. She has studied success and leadership and its effect on organizations that range from privately held organizations to major Fortune 500 corporations. She has spent the majority of her professional career helping the best and brightest executive professionals in America create more positive impact to their companies’ bottom line.

Eleanor has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, other newspapers, major trade journals, radio, TV and additional publications. She has authored four books. Her fifth book, Leading to Success – The Female Advantage, will be published the end of 2020.

Eleanor Anne Sweet has an MBA (Executive Master Program) from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston College with a B.S. in Marketing.

Eleanor’s corporate professional career was with GE Lighting and Salton Housewares in a new product/marketing and sales management capacities.

Sweet is President and CEO of Corporate Success Partners, a Division of The Remington Group, an organizational training and consulting firm that specializes in “no nonsense” solutions and results.

For the past five years, Eleanor has been involved as a mentor/coach with the BHS Incubator Program, which supports small business startups locally.

Eleanor was recently elected Mayor/President of the Village of North Barrington (4-year term, part-time).
